Drew Estate Announces Kentucky Fire Cured – Flying Pig
Drew Estate formally announced today the upcoming release of the Flying Pig vitola in their Kentucky Fire Cured blend. The cigar will soft-launch via a private event at Oxmoor Smoke Shoppe in Louisville, KY but will release nationally at the IPCPR Tradeshow in Las Vegas this July.
When asked why he decided to debut the cigar in Kentucky, Drew stated, “The choice was an easy one. Kentucky is obviously a major inspiration for the Kentucky Fire Cured line, and that inspiration comes through in everything from the blend profile to the iconic imagery. The tobacco that gives the Kentucky Fire Cured line its distinctive smoky aroma and flavor is grown right here in Kentucky.”
The cigar will be released in 12-count boxes, and will be the same dimensions as the other Flying Pig releases – 3 15/16″ X 60. The line is expected to come with all the smoky overtones featured in the standard Kentucky Fire Cured line since its release this past year. The blend contains fire-cured tobacco, which is not widely used as cigar leaf but has made a bit of an emergence in recent months, notably in the KFC, the Leccia Black, and GAR American Puro.
After its official release at IPCPR, the KFCFP is expected to begin shipping in September 2014. It will be available to ALL Drew Estate accounts. For more information about Kentucky Fire Cured, visit Drew Estate’s website.
