Untamed by La Aurora to be showcased at IPCPR 2014
La Aurora issues warning, the Lion has gone rogue!
I received news yesterday of yet another IPCPR 2014 introduction, this time from La Aurora Cigars. They will be releasing their latest offering, La Aurora Untamed, at the tradeshow in a couple of weeks. Master blender Manuel Inoa and team are eager to “release the beast.” Per the press release, La Aurora has been ” on the hunt for the ideal tobacco to enhance the strength of the cigar without sacrificing La Aurora’s signature flavor” since the year 2000. Their efforts have resulted in a 3-country blend, wrapped in Connecticut Broadleaf. The blend “comes with the complexity of a medium bodied cigar and the intensity of something more full.”
The Lion has been the factory’s emblem since its beginning in 1903. In the past, it has been depicted in such a way as to portray its dignity and decorum…but this blend aims to “reassert it’s dominance as the most feared aggressor in the animal kingdom.”
The medium to full bodied blend will be available to consumers in a total of five vitolas, and a price range of $7.00 – $11.00. The sizes are robusto, corona gorda, belicoso, toro, and a 7″ X 60 (unnamed in the release).
