Cigarro del dia - numero seis

Whatever floats yer boat....as long as it's cigar related.

One of the 13 cigars I bought (smoked just one) from William Gomez, one of Kip cohorts down here, who has set up a small store in front of his house and has cigars made for him by, reputedly, by a roller from the Fuente factory and uses "Fuente sourced tobacco." I put it that way because there seems to be a bit of mystery behind the actual origin of the leaf. Regardless, the cigar was fine, even if it was only about 24 hours old!

I'm assuming you're right with the Fuente tie but I had always assumed that WIlliam Gonzalez was the gent who had ties to the Quesada manufacturing process. Who am I thinking of instead? Who is William Gonzalez if not this guy?!

Gómez...

Sent from cigar country via smoke signal...
White shores, and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise....

Had a couple of freshly made cigars at the T.L. johnson factory this AM. The pic with the single cigar is one made RIGHT THEN for me by our host Juan made completely of medio tiempo filler, which should have been "mucho fuerte." I just found it to be very flavorful, with virtually no spice or strength, even on the retro hale. The cigars with cellos are two vitolas in the La Galera line from the Tabacalera Palma factory, where we visited in the afternon.

Forgive the tarp in the background, but I wanted to take this picture before I went inside: Steak, Senorial Corona Gorda by Tobacco Master, Jose Blanco, and Bulleit 10 year bourbon. Beautiful mild night in Brooklyn, so I had to take advantage. Image
Maybe it's like becoming one with the cigar. You lose yourself in it; everything fades away: your worries, your problems, your thoughts. They fade into the smoke, and the cigar and you are at peace. - Raul Julia

Those La Galera Habanos are very very good sticks!

Well, your night was definitely better than mine, and I had a good one!
