Cigarro del dia - numero seis

Whatever floats yer boat....as long as it's cigar related.

Man. I rarely have health issues (that are not related to simply getting old, anyway), but I'm about 60 hours into a cold that has waged a MAJOR offensive against my nose and sinuses. The worst thing about this, aside from the irritation of having to blow my nose 10+ times per hour, is that taste, be it food or, of course, cigars, has largely abandoned me. I had what is a medium strong, all-Nicaraguan cigar of my own this morning, and it was little more than smoking paper, even getting virtually nothing on the retrohale. I might as well light up a Partagas Black or something...

AJ blended Foundry Time Flys. And some Lagavulin 16.

I rarely (and I'd like to say "never" but, you konw, never say never) ever smoke when I'm sick. The irritation seems to cause me to clog up even more and at times, I think it is the catalyst to pushing a cold into a sinus infection. Granted, each one's sinus cavities play a huge roll in this. I may have highly clogged/filled cavities to begin with, thus causing the irritation & swelling from a cold + cigar to become infected. I don't know the exact science behind it. The colloquial evidence points to an if/then scenario of longer suffering than otherwise. Really, Half Ashed is the only reason I choose to smoke when not 100%. Things typically still taste enjoyable (at least I have no memory otherwise), I just don't like the after effects.

I have the same sort of thinking as Kurt, other than I will smoke when I am close to better. I don't need to be back to 100%, just close enough. I have a hard time smoking cigars with a sinus congestion as it seems to impact and congest even more, thus wrecking my nasal cavity and throat a lot.

Tonights Delight.

Michael Stewart rolled cigar sans-wrapper.

This was from the sampler we got from him a while ago. The last of the batch.
