Congrats, man! That is definitely celebration-worthy.Kip wrote:In keeping with the title of this thread, I'm marking another big day today. I mentioned in another thread I was awaiting MRI results. I have them, and to my untrained eye the news appears to be good. This is, of course, subject to my poor Spanish translating skills and lack of medical training...but I can at least read measurements. The cystic extensions of the tumor have grown a bit (boo), but the main mass seems to have shrunk since last year, down to about a 57 ring gauge (it's actually kinda oblong, but we'll go with center mass). The original measurement at diagnosis 2 years ago was 3.36cm (almost an 85 ring). I don't have many "special" cigars left in the humidor, but I'm going digging just to see....
This would make the success of the medication more than expected. If you go strictly by diameter, it's about a 33% drop...but since we're dealing with a sphere (generally), it's nearly 70% less volume than when I started this whole thing.
The growth of its tendrils into new cranial territory is a bit troubling, and I still have to schedule an appointment with the endocrinologist for a skilled reading of the results - but I'm going with good news until she tells me different.
I was waiting to hear this! Excellent!!!Kip wrote:In keeping with the title of this thread, I'm marking another big day today. I mentioned in another thread I was awaiting MRI results.
