Maybe it's like becoming one with the cigar. You lose yourself in it; everything fades away: your worries, your problems, your thoughts. They fade into the smoke, and the cigar and you are at peace. - Raul Julia

Preparing for tomorrow night's video shoot a new band I'm in, "Soul Vaccination." Funk and more funk, mostly. Tower of Power, mostly, plus E W and F, Chicago, Steely Dan, and others.

Tasty stick right here. Would have rather had this in a corona or robusto size but B&M only had this monster 60 ring.

That just a straight up La Gloria Serie R? Man, I haven't had one of those in, well, maybe a decade. They were heavy back in the day, coating my palate like an Anejo or Liga (I know those weren't around). Still?

Yes a bit palate coating but I enjoy that from time to time. I love the Anejo 46 and 48.

This cigar started out very good, progressed to good...and finished solidly mediocre.

I didn't make it into the humidor the other night for celebratory purposes. I dug this out today. Nothing rare or special. Just a good, reliable cigar.
