I didn't get a picture but a friend throws an annual "crab" boil where cigars are enjoyed by all. It's a good time though one that I wonder if you guys experience something similar. Do you find that people never want to talk about cigars at big cigar type events? I have the hardest time getting guys to say anything more than "it's good" when querried about their sticks. These aren't manufacturer sponsored things, mind you. It's just the friendly gathering of cigar lovers. It seems everyone wants to discuss their mind without talking about what they're smoking. Weird.
That being said, I had a lovely Ashton Aroma de Cuba Mi Amor from my original release box. It started out very strong and almost making me wish for something else. That intensity lessened a bit and it rolled into a rather enjoyable stick as it came to a close. Slow burn chocolate flavors in the 2nd and final third. Yum

I get that a lot from my group, too. I try to push them a bit, but nobody even retrohales. I think that's the problem since any subtle flavors all come from the retrohale, at least for me. I mostly get "strong," "good," and "spicy" if I get anything at all from my pals.

Letting all my RMCF smokes rest, so I pulled this guy outta the humi. DAMN! Starts with a pepper blast, then mellows into a super creamy, woodsy smoke with nutmeg and other baking spices on the retrohale. Amazing.

Finally getting around to a cigar tonight, the Chief Cool Arrow from Room101. If the whole cigar is as delightfully spicy and tasty as the first couple minutes I'll be very impressed.

Nothing better than burning one down with your father. I cherish these moments.

Maybe it's like becoming one with the cigar. You lose yourself in it; everything fades away: your worries, your problems, your thoughts. They fade into the smoke, and the cigar and you are at peace. - Raul Julia
