My English family came in for a few weeks. Super fun. Plus this Four Kicks has 2.5 years in it and it is fan-flippin-tastic!!

What Doc is that?

Speaking of, I believe I have 3 Tobacco or Cuban Tobacco documentaries. I may start a little Boxpass to allow you guys to copy/view them. That'd be fun.

Wednesday evening Michael, I and a number of other local gents got together at the Humidor in Westmont. A semi-regular occurance for us. It was delightful as always.

I burned the previously discussed Espana by Quesada. These Coronas from late 15 just keep getting better and better.

I then moved on to a Futuro by Warped. It was recommended by the shopkeep as a great medium offering from Warped. I commented that their stuff had never been high on my list but he assured me otherwise. ... They are still not high on my list. It suffered from terrible construction flaws and tunnelled multiple times. When I tried to remove the wrapper I realized it had been completely glued on. I've never seen that before. I believe it may have been doneso because of the noted cracks, splits, bunches, etc that were noted in the binder. When I finally got it off (piece by piece, I might add) I straightened out the binder and did my best to plug the slices/cracks I found. The cigar performed better but at that point I was able to discern that it was medium strength and medium bodied by being a cigar with absolutely no standout characteristics, and that included flavor. I'd smoke it again only to determine if all the variables experienced contributed to my takeaway but after that, i'd be out like a light. There was nothing here I'd ever want to experience again. Especially the $12 pricetag.

I ended the night on my first Luchador Toro. It was a good cigar. It's on the hard edge of my hard/soft preference but it didn't approach harsh or too heavy at any point. It was well balanced with an absolutely breathtakingly tasty wrapper. I removed it and smoked about 2/3 of the remaining wrapper all the way down the the roach clip nub. Yum. The cigar was still good without it though not as filled with that perfect fermented tobacco sweetness. I'd reach for this again though not being incredibly high on my list since it does lean towards "hard".

Anyone like these? Besides the random bready component, I can't find much else to like.

I used to smoke those occasionally, but they kinda fell away due to price and lack of motivating taste. I wouldn't turn one down, but i haven't bought any in over a year, if not two.

Hadn't smoked one of these since soon after its release. Don't know if it was a blend change or if this one had sat for quite awhile, but it was not nearly as heavy handed with the fire-cured tobacco. It was enjoyable, even...
