Cigarro del dia - numero cinco

Post by f.sinagra » Tue Jul 26, 2016 8:50 pm

I've been trying to get back into the Perdomo line for awhile now. Finally found something is my gauge preference (46/48). Some of his other lines sport too big of a gauge for my liking. I'll have to pony up and support a manufacturer who continues to support his consumers. Tonight's cigar: Perdomo Champagne Corona Extra. Pepper is prevalent, earthy, nutty Conny. As I'm writing this, I just picked up a nice cocoa flavor. It's here on the finish! Image

Update: This vitola is a slow burner. Kinda surprised for this wrapper, and it's not all that humid out here.

Update #2: Toasty sweetness on beginning of the final third. Reminds me of a creme brûlée. Actually, that's exactly what it is.

Maybe it's like becoming one with the cigar. You lose yourself in it; everything fades away: your worries, your problems, your thoughts. They fade into the smoke, and the cigar and you are at peace. - Raul Julia

Tonights Delight.

La Escogida Canonazo Nov '14

The wrapper aroma is intoxicating. Almost like a blend of smell between rosado and dark colorado. I love that rosado smell, but this is some kind of amazing.

One of the new companies at IPCPR (well, new to me) is Yayabo. Nicaraguan puros across 3 of 4 lines, but I've forgotten which carries an Ecuadorian CT wrapper at this point. Very impressed so far.

Beautiful evening, perfect for a good-smoking, smoky cigar.

Beautiful morning on the beach with a light breeze. Had a nice JD Howard yesterday afternoon also. This afternoon it is heading out for some fishing.

Aging Room/Boutique Blends is reviving Oliveros with this All Stars cigar. I was never a fan back in the day, but I have to say this is very, very good. EPC is making them, if I'm remembering correctly.
