Toronto is cool, but you still can't smoke inside a Casa de la Habano. ImageImage

Monte Media Noche Corona (No. 3?). Hearty smoke; with deep, dark flavors and a sweetness which leaves in a quick second and turns the palate dry.

Maybe it's like becoming one with the cigar. You lose yourself in it; everything fades away: your worries, your problems, your thoughts. They fade into the smoke, and the cigar and you are at peace. - Raul Julia

A great close to an afternoon of walking in the woods, state park style.

One-thousand-and-one! 1am after dinner in Toronto with my brother. Breaking the law by being under an awning and next to a building entrance!

Las Calaveras Corona Gorda 2015

This is for the show tonight. Goes well so far with coffee. So far, very different from the 2014

Never had the 2014, but the 2015 is excellent. Can't wait to compare -- though obvious -- difference between the two.

The rosado wrapper on the 2015 is a major difference. It ia a good rosado, it just imparts a different characteristic. Drying, lack of the dark cherry flavor I love in the 2014, lots of a syrup-like mouth coating smoke. Finish is quite long on the 2015.

This past weeks Delights.

Undercrown Corona Viva !

Aging Room F356 Shithouse

What a terribly strong, overpoweringly peppery pile of dung these still are. I gave it almost 2 years to calm down, and NOPE. Did they decide that an all ligero cigar was cool ?
Pitched after 1/2 inch in. Couldn't do it.

Beunoventura Robusto

Not bad. I would buy more for their lower price point for sure.

Upmann No.2 May '14

What a difference the last 3 months have made ! These just finished their sick period, and are turning into a caramel, roasted tobacco, cashew nut wonder. Just lovely.

We have Zika. Kinda sucky, but not too awfully terrible. Just fever, rash, and lots of soreness in the joints. I figured I could suffer with a cigar or without. I choose with...

So, I had a Viaje something-or-other (I honestly know not what it was; just the regular Viaje band) earlier, and am having another Yute tonight.
White shores, and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise....
