A nice, gentle (but not TOO gentle) start to the day...

Let's hope the cigar world unites after today.

Maybe it's like becoming one with the cigar. You lose yourself in it; everything fades away: your worries, your problems, your thoughts. They fade into the smoke, and the cigar and you are at peace. - Raul Julia

My first one of these Camacho Corojo. I've liked both the Ecuador and Connecticut from them, and this is starting quite finely.

Nice little event at my local KoC. Lots of cigars were smoked, laughs enjoyed, and top-notch food. In short, it was a very good night. To my surprise, a lot of non-smokers knew about the FDA ruling, and good conversation ensued.

Last nights delights.
Tat La Verite Vintage 2008
Care of CraigSSchnieder.
I can see why you like these Craig. They are one of the closest cigars I can think of in memory that is very Cubanesque with it's sweet, slightly salty, roasty tobacco and cashew flavors. It was a bit lighter in body, but the flavors were there. Interesting cigar for sure. I would smoke these, but hopefully they didn't all have the construction issue I had.
I think Pete Johnson hit this one right on the head. Great project and thanks Craig for this.

Oliva V Double Robusto
This is the exact reason I bought these cigars ! What a wonderful finishing cigar ! They are so strong in flavor that it will always be one of the best finishers. They don't get super good until that last 1/2, but hey, it's worth it.

Doing a mini wrapper experiment today. Ecuadoran and Nicaraguan wrappers over Honduran fillers.

Per the above, the Nicaraguan wrapper was by far the superior combination!

Original Fratello. I like these more than the Biancos

Time for the evening ritual. A good cigar, some trumpet, and a (probably) bad horror movie. I like it...
