Cigarro del dia - numero cinco

I am beginning to love Abe Flores' cigars...again. The last cigar I had of Abe's was the 1878 Capa Maduro(a). It was beautiful! Then I started to move away from his line in pursuit of other cigars.

What a great cigar to welcome me back, huh?! I know it's been out for a couple of years, which shows you just how long I haven't smoked PDR cigars, but this cigar is excellent.

This cigar is from the sampler I ordered a couple of months back.

After talking to one of the guys in Abe's camp a few nights ago, I decided a purchase was in order. Here's what I ordered: The Capa's in the corona size 5-pack of each Maduro, Oscuro & Habano, a 5-pack of the Gran Reserva Half Corona, 2 (each) of the Serie Privada 52's Habano and Maduro, and a 3-pack Flores y Rodriguez Magicos Habano and Maduro. No luck finding, what I would call, their "ultra-premium" blends for a decent price.

Excellent cigar so far.

Have an excellent night!!

Maybe it's like becoming one with the cigar. You lose yourself in it; everything fades away: your worries, your problems, your thoughts. They fade into the smoke, and the cigar and you are at peace. - Raul Julia

Kip's Joya Red and my Padilla from this afternoon. A calmer, more relaxed setting here in the DR you will not find.

I absolutely overlook PdR cigars. WHY??? I can't quite figure out how they just never made ti into my rotation. Other big(ger) brands are withheld for reasons but Abe's stuff just evades me.

Sometimes the cigar doesn't really matter when you're in those settings. Those peso house-rolls Kip spoke of a few months back would even be perfect on that deck. Beautiful. I wish I was with you two. Enjoy yourselves.

Last couple nights Delights.

Kristoff Ligero

Fire proof wrapper, and bland taste = first throw out cigar of 2016
Image

RASCC

One of the gifts from the group buy of the La Tradicion Cubana Corona's. Thanks again, this was great, especially after that dud of a Kristoff.

Image

Illusione F9

Last one from earlier last year. Not bad, but I was not as impressed as I would have hoped for it's age. I think I am just in an NC funk.

Cromag Anthropology

Because I was in an NC funk lately, I went to a gem that I normally know I can't dislike....and I loved it. These are fan-flippin-tastic.
