It wasn't just for us :). This was a little community operation behind the local colmado in Palo Alto.

For a moment I wondered if you had ascended the cultural ladder to near deity for the mountain folk. Let me have my dreams, will you?

According to an article in today's Listin Diario, only 59% of this country have an indoor bathroom, 36% have an (undoubtedly home-made) outhouse, and 5% just apparently go wherever. This means 750k households - almost 4 million people (of a 10 million population) in a country 1/3 the size of Florida don't have proper sanitation. It's no wonder so many physical ills run rampant here.

Just heard a thing on skeptics guide to the universe about human poop and how many people "free defecate" or something like that. Crazy stats about Africa and the lack of toilets...also wasn't it international toilet day yesterday!? Weird...

The thing swelled to epic proportions. I put some bite spray on it and took a Benadryl before bed. All back to normal this morning.
