Last nights Delight.

Las Calaveras 2014 Toro
It has been a few days since my last non-cheapie, so I went with a beloved cigar.
It is amazing how a few days off can bring your palate to a different level. I started smoking this cigar, and was not enthralled; it has rather one dimensional of strong tobacco flavor with black pepper in the background. Buuuuuut after the 1/3 mark, it started getting better and better. The black cherry flavor that I loved so much when fresh came around just slightly, but was noticable. What a wonderful cigar. Glorious. I am going to cherrish the rest of these boxes. Age has done them well.

Very fine, Ian.

Picked up a few of these after hearing Kip and Dale espouse their greatness, esp as they are REALLY inexpensive cigars. This one was a little too subtle for a late night smoke that followed a couple more from earlier, but it might be a fine AM or first cigar of the day smoke.

Hehe...they're marketing Andullo as a special, rare tobacco. It's very inexpensive "campesino" tobacco that can be had "cheapy-cheapy" in the Dominican Republic. It's aged in bamboo tubes and cut/picked apart into whatever amount you want for a few pesos....

This size Undercrown is not as enjoyable as the larger ones, but still decent. Followed it up with a pepin Black label.

Happily, I was right on with my thought that this cigar would be better suited to the AM or as a first cigar of the day. Very fine this morning. On a minor downside, I pulled this branch out of the cigar. It already drew finely, but really opened up after I removed the stem.
