I'm not really much of a drinker, but on rare occasions I like a Highland or Island malt - Aberlour, Dalwhinnie or Talisker (in its 18yo expression).
White shores, and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise....

If you like whiskey esp of the scotch variety try some of the Japanese offerings such as hibiki its devine..

I like some of them. I find SOME american whiskeys to be palatable, most Irish and zero Scottish. I think the ol cheapies like Chivas and Crown best suit my tastes. I've had some great others but for the money, I'm NOT experimenting.

Believe it or not Scotch makes portions of my mouth numb like I just left the dentist. It's totally a fun trick to play on me after drunk; getting me to take a drink of Glen Whatever.
