Cigarro del dia - numero siete

Post by f.sinagra » Mon Jul 02, 2018 10:28 am

Indian Tobac Robusto — didn’t do nothing for me. Image

CLE Chele — really enjoyable, but I think it would be better in a softer box-pressed, ala 1502 or Alec Bradley Prensado. Full box-pressed don’t do it for me; not into the candy bar feel, I guess. Image

2 Guys Dos Hombre Honduran Toro. You want something that’s going to dry that palate out — this is it. Had the Dominican awhile back, nothing to write home about. Image

Maybe it's like becoming one with the cigar. You lose yourself in it; everything fades away: your worries, your problems, your thoughts. They fade into the smoke, and the cigar and you are at peace. - Raul Julia

Got a rainstorm to finally cool off the temperature. After a winter below 0 the summers of 100 really are a kick in the pants. Enjoyed this Colmado Kip stick while listening to the rain hit the porch's metal roof.

Bought these from Craig’s liquidating friend. These are so enjoyable. I’m trying to find the blend info for it and nothing. Delicious toffee and espresso notes, nice notes of wood and clean retro. Any blend info that you may know, please share! Image

DC, I haven’t forgotten about you. Second round of the Gran Habano DC sent me. Lot of woodsy notes off this. Earth and notes of coffee. Image

2018 Las Calaveras. Delicious. First third was nothing to note. 2/3rd — whoa!!! Salt and pepper, wood, meatiness — reminiscent of camping. Final third was dark fruit and choco, and heavy earth. Amazing! Will it take #1 or will the 2016 reign supreme? We’ll see. Image

That ITC = Indian Tobac Cigars. It was Rocky's first company/venture in the cigar world, before his self-named company. Back in the late 90's I used to buy them every year when I traveled to Cincinnati for Jimmy Buffett shows because there was no retailer back in Knoxville. I liked 'em. Yours was the 10th anniversary stick.

A link of Rocky himself at the 2007 RTDA describing this very cigar-a nic puro that was new at the time-right down to the blend:
