Re: Cigarro del dia - numero siete
Well, at least as early 2013 I must have been doing something right. Great burn and firm ash.

Great. A wonderful partagas profile, but in a superb size. Still maintaining their strength a bit, which was good as it was probably the 8th cigar that day.kurtdesign1 wrote:The BOTL coronas. Ive heard about them but never seen them. Back 11 years ago (!) that place was polarizing as hell. Jerry Kelly (??) started it and created a mass exodus from the other three big boards at the time. It was a crazy period that fractured the private club I was in when many members parted ways to join Jerry. Man, that's a bunch of memories I hadn't even thought about in 5 years. Crazy!
How were they??

92+ degrees. The bike is ridden and the lawn mowed, so... Macanudo. Boring, mild cigar, right? They have some new (ish) releases, the Inspirado line, with white, black, red, and orange labels in various sizes. I’ve had three of them now - white, mild strength, orange, medium, and black, full - and they are all winners. Worth a try at a very reasonable price point.

I realize I'm barely into what I think is the first I've tried, but this Sobremesa is delightful.

Top 5 Rocky blends — 90 Robusto.
Really dig this NMC Conn — I believe Barry Stein had a hand in blending this cigar, in this size. Enjoyable with a medium roast.
Espinosa Reggae — smaller gauge toro, maybe a lonsdale-ish size. Nice smoke. Couple reviews said spicy, didn’t get that. Did get a nice lavender component, which grooved nicely with the bean of choice. Good amount of earth, wood, subtle choco and nutmeg. I liked it, and would buy a 5er somewhere down the line.

Maybe it's like becoming one with the cigar. You lose yourself in it; everything fades away: your worries, your problems, your thoughts. They fade into the smoke, and the cigar and you are at peace. - Raul Julia
