It's been a good week. Some items to discuss. The 2012 Tatuaje Capa Especials are amazing. The "Little Boris", on the other hand, kicked me in the teeth so hard that I still have the meat sweats.

With the exception of Mike's visit (which thankfully allowed for a more relaxed schedule - thanks, @Stewmuse!), I've pretty much had work to do every day for several weeks, since adding new English classes and the new project with William. Today, except for a couple bills to pay (online payment isn't really a thing here; you gotta pay in cash, in person), I have actual free time. So, it's a cool morning and my plan is to sit under a warm blanket, drink hot coffee, and smoke this little beauty from Mike (thanks again!). Image

Glad to have provided the physical and emotional respite, as well as the cigar!

These have been pretty good cigars for me, but this one really performed poorly yesterday, being hard to light and going out several times. Granted, I was out in my cold garage with the blaster going, but other cigars have done much better out there. Like the Rocky Patel Edge I had this evening. Oh, well, they won't all be winners.

This is one of the cigars I got in the DR at the small store that Kip and I visited. It's made there in Tamboril. A very pleasant smoke, with a floral lilt to the retrohale. Definitely a winner!

The last weeks Delights.

These Juan Lopez No.2's are chalked full of so much citrus zest in the last third, it is amazing. Great cigars.
The Mag 50's are newer, and smoking the house down. I will be smoking these as fast as I can, as I am always afraid of them age out. Mag 50's are a lighter blend to start with. ImageImageImageImageImage

Maybe it's like becoming one with the cigar. You lose yourself in it; everything fades away: your worries, your problems, your thoughts. They fade into the smoke, and the cigar and you are at peace. - Raul Julia

I enjoy the Melanios but I'm not sure I like them enough for the price. That said, do I really need to compare price these days? A sale or blow out always seems to be found. Plus, my taxes keep creeping up that a cheap cigar at my B&M is around $9. damn.

Always, Always, Always. 10 years ago I could buy boxes of them for less than $3 a stick. Those were the good ol days...
