Todays Delight (so far)
Alex Gonzalez ( La escogida) Corona Extra Nov '16
So good. Like the love child between Upmann and LGC. The breadiness of Upmann and a bit of that cedar/woodsiness from the LGC's. Add some citrus and you have a "banger" of a cigar.
These Alex customs have single handedly transformed me into a CC lover. I was always on the fence with CCs, but now I am having a hard time smoking through my NC stash.
Smoking while filling the rink. It has been so cold this Nov, that I have gotten in 7 good floods already.

Newest addition to the casa trompeta family, the Solita. Pretty straight-ahead blend of Dominican pilot seco and Brazilian mata fina wrapped in a Sumatran binder and Ecuadoran wrapper. Label courtesy of eBay. I tested it in a slightly larger version (48 vs. this 43 ring), and I think I'll go back to that size.

Re: Cigarro del dia - numero siete
I've been playing with a couple of TLJ cigars in anticipation of the movie TLJ (The Last Jedi) and have some interesting observations. Terry wasn't very straightforward about blends or cigar names but these were given to me in June when I met with him in Colorado. I was told to give them at least 3 or 4 months because they were manufactured for one of the folks we've had on the show before but were delivered (demanded may be the proper term) prior to being ready. The other cigar I've spoken about on the show before. I'll have opinions about both to share Friday.

Davidoff in general. I don't smoke many of them, but someone must be dropping $30-50 apiece for the experience.
It was a very good cigar, but not something I'd drop the coin on personally. I'd buy 3-5 Don Carlos for the money.

Good cigar for running errands around town. I had to drop off a batch of watch straps for a local store and do some other junk in town. I was glad for the company!

More errands today. Dropping off cigars for a few customers and enjoying the PdM.
