I used like these a fair bit, but find them only to be average anymore. Sigh...

Heavy leather and earth. Did settle down towards the middle-third, but the 1/3 left such an impression that I didn't really care to smoke more. Will try another one in the coming weeks. Image

Maybe it's like becoming one with the cigar. You lose yourself in it; everything fades away: your worries, your problems, your thoughts. They fade into the smoke, and the cigar and you are at peace. - Raul Julia

The end of a mini-era. Back in 2012, an online shop I bought leaf from was selling Peruvian tobacco leaves. They turned out to be not very attractive, even yellowish, so that first pound I bought was my only purchase of it (i'm pretty sure). Turns out that it was a great leaf and that company went out of the online leaf business a couple years later. In 2015, with the last handful of these leaves i had, I free-rolled 8-10, odd shaped cigars that went from about 46 ring at the head out to about 56 at the foot. This is the very last of those. I keep hoping that someone starts to sell this leaf or for a manufacturer to "discover" it. It really is fine.

Couple of smokes from the past few days. A hand rolled no-name from FL and a Blondie

Well, this is a bother. Entirely my fault from improper handling....but bothersome none the less.

Todays Delight.

JL No.1 '16

At the ballpark out of town watching the kiddo play ball. Being this is ultra-smokefree Canada, this is the first time I have ever been able to have a cigar and watch. Makes watching baseball so much better ! This is as close as I get. Plus the wind is blowing away from the field....so I have just the right spot for once.

Closing out a very productive weekend. And if you haven't seen this 2017 release and enjoy zombie films, this one has a really nice slant to the story and is, even, a well made film.
