Worse cigar I've had in years. No joke.

When those first came out, i was in a fairly heavy-bodied cigar phase, and liked them a fair bit. They did, however, fall out of favor relatively quickly and I haven't had one in years. Thanks for the reminder!

Stay smokey, my friends.

Padilla stuff is really good. Like this line in the bigger gauge.

Maybe it's like becoming one with the cigar. You lose yourself in it; everything fades away: your worries, your problems, your thoughts. They fade into the smoke, and the cigar and you are at peace. - Raul Julia

I agree about the Padilla, Frank. I dig 'em quite a bit.
Right now, I'm enjoying this high dollar stick...

This started out burning REALLY quickly, but slowed to a more typical pace. The picture was taken just about 4-5 minutes in. It did have some issues throughout, tho, as one side was decidedly packed more tightly than the other. It still tasted pretty good, but I wonder what it might have been had the burn issues not been there.

JDH LE. So good. Down to two or three more. Just wish the draw was just a teeny bit more open.

Mike, that looks like a Don Carlos. Did the construction impact you to the point where you don't feel like you could judge fairly or did you develop an idea of what all the fuss is about?

Guessing from the size, it looks like a SunGrown 858 to me....and the rapidity of the described burn is insane! Must have been the special gasoline-infused edition
