Notes ready? Check.
Notes shared? Check.
Cigar of the Week? Check.
Electricity? So far, but a pretty bangin' storm is just rolling in...complete with semi-annual lightning and thunder. We rarely get anything more than wind and rain, so when the lightning comes it's normally going to be a pretty tumultuous storm. Check back in 50 minutes....

So are you just writing all this because Kurt is balking ? Man, you need to get a more reliable podcast partner, Kip. I suggest Skip Martin. You two could talk all day about your lives in Cigar Counrty.Kip wrote:Notes ready? Check.

Somehow missed this when you posted it, DC. You are most welcome and good luck with the nicotine!815DC wrote:Name: "Gringo on Safari"

Well I finally lit this "bad boy". Lit like a lion-smoked like a kitten... and then I tried to stand up after the first 1/3 LOLThis thing has some nicotine! The cigar was smooth and constantly reminded me of what I find to be a core flavor in a lot of Mike's cigar that I try and creamer with some cinnamon in it. I think that is the Cameroon in play. I liked It but hopefully the velvet hammer of nicotine dies down some with age. Thank You Casa Trumpeta!

Ian and Mike, these ARE really good. Best CAO that I've had in a while!

Maybe it's like becoming one with the cigar. You lose yourself in it; everything fades away: your worries, your problems, your thoughts. They fade into the smoke, and the cigar and you are at peace. - Raul Julia

Friday and Saturday nights Delights.

Starts off ok, but finishes with a wonderful palate-quenching delight. Love these right now. I don't think the box will last until '18...

My Father Le Bijou Toro
Paired with one of my favorite beers. La Vache Folle. Aged in my cold room from '14.
LOVE THESE CIGARS. Oh how I missed them. It is like these were blended specifically for my palate. Amazing.

Boy, do I hate it when an otherwise fine wrapper leaf has a series of "stitching" veins in it. You can't stretch or smooth them out, so you get a Frankenstick effect. At least these don't affect the burn or taste. The Gateway is a simple blend of Nic seco and Braz habano viso, with a shade wrapper, and the C2 has corojo and criollo internals. Both taste and smoke dandily.
