I'm more than a little confident that no one else on the planet smoked both of these two cigars last night. A "mountain cigar" from the campo north of Santiago and a toro from William Gomez (a compatriot of Kip's in the DR who's opened up a small store and had some cigars made for him).

I was so so pleasantly surprised as I lit what I thought would be a throwaway cigar on the porch this evening as the temperature encroached upon 50 degrees today. This Pigtail Factory Leftover with its Indonesian wrapper started with some mild spice and then went into a creamy consistency with some coffee notes hitting at about 1/2 way. The cigars are mix fill and come in a Conny wrapper as well but given the blend I could see how that might get a bit grassy. The mild spice remained and it did have a bit of nasty on the retro after about the 1/2 way point and a relight (not the fault of the cigar- I had to walk away and come back). Look I am not saying you should drop everything and order tons of these, or even that anything larger than the robusto would be a bore. However a couple robustos would be nice to have on hand at the $1 a piece price tag. http://www.atlanticcigar.com/cigars/Pig ... tovers.asp
I am sure there will be yet another sideways photo attached...

Last nights Delights.

Juan Lopez Seleccion No.1 '16

I don't know if these are going into their sick period, but man, a lot of change since the last one. Not great. Burned like crap too, which frustrated me.

Why don't I just keep buying boxes of these ? Age has done them well, too.
