Re: Big Day
Don't know if I'm cut out for this. I might lose my mind if one more of the little jokers asks me if I'm Nick's dad......

So we can call you Papa HillBilly now?
A very cool thing you are doing. It may be challenging and take years to show any proof but you will make a difference.

I think Jay's right. You may never have a positive experience but your impact may be incredibly positive. Good on ya, Kip. You're setting an example for the rest of us...Papa.

To be fair, your oh-so-manly face fur, combined with Nick's seemingly much younger, somewhat boyish face, could lead someone to think this. Of course, Nick always asking you for his allowance and if he can have a piece of candy probably ain't helping things...Kip wrote:To frame this, I am only 7 years older than Nick....

Re: Big Day
We're also set to start teaching English at the school in Palo Alto beginning this Wednesday....which is kind of a big deal, at least to us. We're going to have around 100 kids total (broken up into classes throughout the day). I can't wait for the day when there are hundreds of little chicos running around the Dominican mountains with a hillbilly accent.

The original post. Methinks Kip was not being particularly serious about stress in the situation.kurtdesign1 wrote:I am 100% not following this.Stewmuse wrote:I'm pretty sure that Grampa Kip is being a bit joking, here...kurtdesign1 wrote:I think Jay's right.
