A merry Labor Day to everyone. Overcast, but extremely pleasant today, just like this cigar!

Yesterdays Delights.

Upmann Royal Robusto '14

Gifted from a friend. Was very sharp. Not the typical flavor I recognize from an Upmann RR. It wasn't bad, but I seem to notice these thicker/darker wrappers are making cigars very sharp and biting. I had some Hoyo with the same issue.

Beauty.

Without question, you are correct. The substantial nature of the leaf made them an unfortunate byproduct of the processing "machine" that is Cuban communist labor. Worker 1: "I did my job."
Supervisor 1: "Your work did not produce the proper results. Good job!"
Worker 1: "I thought the proper results were whatever came of doing what we were told?"
Supervisor 1: "Congratulations. You may stay alive for not falling into our trap. You should go celebrate."
Worker 1: "WooHoo! <trots off to buy a celebratory consumable>
Worker 2: "Where is Worker 1?"
Supervisor 1: "They desired and consumed more than the revolution deemed was their share. Do not worry about them."
Consumer 1: "Why the hell aren't these Cuban cigars better quality?!?"

Almost every evening. Sitting on the back deck watching over the field. Now the corn is too high to see much though. I like it when its in beans and I see all the deer and coyotes.

This was going to be a show cigar, but *somebody* already smoked his. So...now I get to smoke my last one! Time for some chess with The Dude...
