Here are a few pics of the cigars I enjoyed over the week:

It been holding on to this one for a while. It was well worth the wait.

Maybe my palate was off, but I didn't get much flavor out of this one. Definitely prefer the original line

Super strong but awesome flavors.

First time to try this one. I enjoyed it.

Another first for me

And the grand finale. Heard a lot about this cigar. Price scared me off for a while. Finally got one. Paid 18 something for a corona ish size. It was very good though. Would be a great $8-$10 stick. I don't think it was worth $18

Last Nights Delight.

Parti Lusitanias

I was scared. Real scared. It came out of the darkness like a giant in the mist. Grabbed me, shook me gently for a bit, then went for the power punches by the end.

These cigars have scared me for a while as I just don't understand the need for a 7.7 x 50 cigar. Why not just make it 6.5" ? Anywho; I wanted to know if the hype around these was a real thing. It is....if you like Partagas flavors. It tasted like the 898's bigger, stronger brother. Good up until the 1/2 way point, then it decided it was going to blow me away with rich palate coating flavor. What a kick at the end too ! I smoked this faster than I usually do as I didn't have the 4 hours I think it would normally take for me to get through a cigar this size. Just over 3 hours.

Recommended if you have the time and want to know what a true Partagas cigar can do. Wonderful.

Finally opened the box of these I purchased last month in the DR. The three of us on the La Aurora tour we're each given one and then two of us bought a box each. VERY Dominican in its light, somewhat drying smoke, but pleasant enough. Probably better as an AM stick, as opposed to closing out the day.

First time trying. Will buy it again, but in the Corona size. So far, it's an excellent cigar.

Maybe it's like becoming one with the cigar. You lose yourself in it; everything fades away: your worries, your problems, your thoughts. They fade into the smoke, and the cigar and you are at peace. - Raul Julia

Have you smoked more of these yet? I've been through several and feel strangely about them. It seems like they're VERY inconsistent....HOWEVER...I've liked all that I've had. From one to the next, I have had very different families of flavors. The thing is, I've enjoyed all of them so far. Each has been different, but good. Weird.

Last night was my first. Certainly not wildly different from the one I had while visiting you...

Last nights Delight.

Padron Famous 75th

Not the biggest Padron fan, but this one surprised me. Better than I was expecting. One dimensional; it held that same profile the whole way, which was pretty good, but not what I normally look for. At $21/stick I could not recommend these cigars, but even for $15 it would be a box split option.

Most likely fake, but tasty just the same.
