Yum. This one was rolled 16 months ago and it is behaving very well!

Trying another of the Rough Cuts (no wrapper leaf) from November, along with my new garage friend.

We came over to the beach in Sosua, where I enjoyed a Fume D'amour. Saw a girl with 2 phones and selfie stick taking a photo of herself taking a selfie....

Yesterdays Herf-tastic sticks

Amazing. Simply amazing. One of the best cigars of the year.

Bolivar EL '09

Rich and creamy, but started in with a typical Boli finish that I don't prefer.

This was the Secret Santa exchange we did this year on another forum. I love these when like this; young, fresh and powerful.

I love these, but it just didn't fit in with the cigars previous. Too bad, because I usually love these. I think it was just too much cigar after 3 previous cigars.

This might be my favorite cigar running this year...

Man O War Puro Authentico! I love these. Especially when I find them for half price on CI. I think I can pick up just about any cigar that AJ makes and like it

I was in Cabarete the past couple days, and stopped by a newly-opened shop owned by the proprietor of the Campesino Series cigars. The line is a bit more traditionally "Dominican" in its blending than Chogui. I was already impressed with the robusto I'd had before, but the blend really shines in the Toro - which is not yet available in Santiago. I had a couple over there and will try to get a few more to send back as show cigars with Michael.

Also, @StewMuse, if you'd like we will hit the beach over there and stop by this shop. It's very small but Edgar speaks English and is quite friendly. Super nice guy. I also talked with Terry Johnson today and he won't be returning until after your visit...but he said we could give his manager a call and stop by his factory while you're down if you like.

Sounds like a winner. BTW, room in my luggage permitting, I was thinking about bringing a mask and snorkel. Is that worth doing? Just checking!

Absolutely! Luggage not permitting, I have extras. The water is a bit chilly, but even the Florida/Dominican-accustomed folk got used to it in quick order. A Chicagoan will think it's plumb toasty. We can swim at Sosua; there are random corals right off the beach, and a small reef a short swim out (200 yd +/-).

There's also a good place to eat there on the beach. It's a small shack but the food is good -and safe to eat :)
