Continuing with my 'don't die and leave your best cigars unsmoked' philosophy, last night I went up on the roof and had the very last Biography prototype I had from 2012-ish. Frank gave me a bunch of these, and after they hit the market I bought many, many boxes of them. They were right up my alley back then, and this one didn't disappoint. It was maybe a little more dry on the palate, and a bit less smoky than when fresh, but still had its original character. Slightly muted after resting so long, but still very flavorful. I wish I'd had the money to set aside 20 boxes of them....

Yesterday morning on the porch.
Opened with some spice and wood notes then settled into a sweet hay and spice. The star however was the retrohale. On the back of every retro were notes of butterscotch, toffee, and caramel! Big hopes for these Got your 6 barberpoles from zealcigars.com

2019 smoking beautifully. Will need to see if I can score a box or a 5er of whatever is left. 2020 is phenomenal — that’s a cigar for sure with age will be a killer!

Maybe it's like becoming one with the cigar. You lose yourself in it; everything fades away: your worries, your problems, your thoughts. They fade into the smoke, and the cigar and you are at peace. - Raul Julia

Haven't really been smoking any cigars lately, outside of the occasional $0.50 stick from my friend's friend who makes them. I have been smoking the pipe quite a bit still but since I wasn't able to go back to the states this year and raid my stash I realize I'll run out of tobacco before we go back....so I broke down and ordered a couple tins to come down via our courier. Hopefully that makes it through Customs...

The month of August in review.. aside from the huge storm that went through the area and this COVID hullabaloo.
