So are you tackling any house or other projects due to all this home time? I’m building steps from the driveway down to our backyard, 20 vertical feet, out of railroad ties. Here’s were I’m at so far.

Now that is a project!
We talked about working on finishing the basement out this summer previous to being shut down, that project may be moved up a few months now. So far it has been yard work when nice and finished painting the inside of the house.

Maybe it's like becoming one with the cigar. You lose yourself in it; everything fades away: your worries, your problems, your thoughts. They fade into the smoke, and the cigar and you are at peace. - Raul Julia

Re: Covid House projects
The wrap up of this weekends Covid Inspired house projects:
-I got the last two Railrod tie stairs bolted in. I need probably another 12 or so to complete it. Lots of digging now around roots and rocks on those up hill timbers! 10 stairs in total completed!
-We also mulched 17 trees and placed rock boarders around 12 of them so far. We need another load of stone to finish the rest. We’ve placed 2,500 pounds so far.

Seems like this was a lifetime ago...
Hope all you folks are doing well. There is lurking on the forum but not much activity these days.

Re: Covid House projects
Hey DC, Things down here in KC are going well. I have been working from home, kids have been in school for the most part and the finishing the basement started in September. Funny looking back at this one, if we would have started in April it would have cost less and probably went faster. Electrician was booked over a month out, building supplies have gone up in cost this year and getting someone in to do drywall was an adventure on its own.
Hope you have been enjoying some milder weather up in Chicago. Hopefully everyone is doing alright and getting ready for a "different" Thanksgiving.
