I don't care what kind of band a cigar has. Performance matters. Skip didn't put any bands on his cigars for years and in my book they're some of the best in the market. I'm also a fan of EZ. I'm not able to readily keep up with their small batch stuff but I really dig everything I get my hands on (well, that original Tantrum whips me, but I dig it until I get swimmy-headed)..

I think our past history with EZ plays into my opinion more than just the band. Where as, the band is the catalyst for this particular emotional reaction. All things being equal, your perspective rings true with a subjective and unfair characterization of the cigar company. Fortunately and unfortunately for me there is more to this than meets the eye.
