The last official batch of 2016, bringing the grand official total to 704 cigars rolled (and right about 2,450 the past three years). Recently, I noticed that most ALL of the test blends I did this past year with either Brazilian mata fina or Paraguayan flojo viso filler worked very well for me. Time to try them together! I put together four sets of BMF and PFV leaf filler, with combinations of Nicaraguan or Indo-Sumatran binders, and Ecuadoran or Habano 2000 wrappers. We'll see next month how they worked out.

Here's to hoping your Paraguayan BMF finds its Flojo... yo

First new batch in over six weeks. Brazilian mata fina, San Andres, and Nic ligero underneath a Dominican binder and Ecuadoran wrapper. 6 x 50.

You were saying something about the San Andres, elsewhere. Now you're using it here. Am I to assume that you've been passionately inspired?

This is the same blend as the previously mentioned cigar, so, kinda. Cigars soon would be good, tho I am getting into a performance-heavy time with wedding bands and polka band!

You plan it based upon availability. No one knows that better than you.

Rolled a couple dozen Mimics this month. Sixteen of the original, 6.5 x 38, and today, eight in a 6 x 50 format.

Hey Stew, something just came to mind. Did you ever do an official ranking of the cigars that you made for us — Heartbreak, Summer of George, etc...?

Those San Andres cigars look beautiful!

Maybe it's like becoming one with the cigar. You lose yourself in it; everything fades away: your worries, your problems, your thoughts. They fade into the smoke, and the cigar and you are at peace. - Raul Julia
