I also would recommend doing some more old school/classic cigars that have been around forever and people may often forget about like:

Punch- London Club or After Dinner size
Henry Clay (Dominican)- Brevas ala Conserva size
Padron- 2000 size
San Cristobal- Clasico (robusto)

Just some classics that still do the job that come to mind.
This is a great idea. Classics are classics because they're tested
So if you like it so much and there are an average 4 shows a month would a show schedule for a regular month be:
week 1 Kip cigar
week 2 Craig cigar
week 3 Unbanded
week 4 Classics and Cubans
?

Obviously if circumstances dictate the schedule would change or if/when you ran out of classics/cubans or unbandeds.

I think we may just incorporate the classics into our regular sugestions. We're shying away from our "favorites" after 100 shows already. Now that should perhaps be "suggestions"

Ah cool. Well hopefully a Classics Show comes around then. Downloading the Joya Red episode today. Thanks for helping the time go by at work.

What about doing house blends or store exclusive cigars. I think Blue Havana in Chicago has some cigars made by Roma Craft. Kurt, you could make this happen. Unless Craig beats you to it.

Fun story about Blue Havana. That is the store where I found a specific Regional that Kip was seeking out 5 or 6 years ago. He was cordially introduced to Chicago's tobacco tax

Regarding your question, I don't dislike that idea but it becomes a bit tedious to track down. That's definitely not something I'm aware of and I'd venture a guess that it's something Kip has not kept up with. I'd be willing to compensate folks to find and ship them to us. In fact, if you did that, I'd purchase two of the cigars for you to smoke along with us. 2 for kip, 2 for me, 2 for you. I'd cover the $7 shipping to me as well and handle getting them to Kip.

Well ok. I’ll keep my eyes open. We’re going to Charleston SC in a few weeks and there are some shops down there that I guess I’ll have peruse now.

You know another idea is that @AK preacher rolls his own cigars, I think. Maybe he can roll some and send them to you.

There is infamy in the topic of "home rolls" and Half Ashed. Way back in the early days we recorded episode 17(a) with Mike Stewart and his Casa Trompeta cigars. That episode never made it out of the YouTube livestream phase and we subsequently had to record over with 17(b). Thats why I occasionally mention that it's show 1xx and a half...

I listened to this episode. I don’t understand the concerns about hand rolled cigars assuming that you don’t smoke then near a Starbucks or call it such. I know nothing will ever be a Chi-Gringo but if you can set your snobbery aside, it might be worth a ride. Of course I cannot speak for AK but supposedly, he gets his blend straight from God.

Episode 41 was the “real” do-over of episode 17.

That sounds more like it. I believe we recorded our next episode after the original 17 and called the 17 as well.
That was confusing and I was the one that wrote it.
