Here's a screenshot of Google's Page Speed Insights from a couple minutes ago. We're hitting 85-88 pretty consistently, and never got out of the 70's before. There HAS to be some script somewhere that runs for logged in users only that is causing the delay you describe. I'm not currently seeing anything wonky since last night. That's why I asked if you were.

You mentioned in your first comment that it was on one machine, then subsequently said two different desktops. Can you clarify that?

By the way, mine is moving incredibly fast right now....just like it did yesterday morning. I wonder if it's a temporal thing?

My stats shared were for a specific machine, being very clear about those specific comments being made.

The generic comment about "2 desktops" was a more general way of describing that this sort of delay is experienced on both my home and work PC. I have no realtime stats for the home PC just a general "yeah, it happens on a separate machine, too."

Were you noticing this problem on the forum, blog or both?

I just found a glittering error in the bridge between the two. Because our control goes an order of magnitude deeper now, the filespace has changed in layout. The bridge between forum & blog was creating a minor warning (rather than error). Not enough to shut down the whole thing, but enough to generate about 4,500 warning messages in the error log since 10/26. This could have been part of the problem. I've fixed it, and it appears to be connected properly now. We'll see.

The site on my home computer (iMac) is, as you say, blistering fast as of whenever this is time stamped

Found one more issue (error logs are handy that way). I've submitted a support ticket to the host provider. On a Friday afternoon, I'm doubtful of hearing back before showtime tonight, but hopefully it will hold together.

Yes, but it might be a little bit later than normal. Craig was thinking he'd be ready by 10.
