I'm going to be bringing down the forum and updating to 3.1.x this afternoon. After it coming up in 3 threads, I figure it's time. It will probably be down for an hour or two and will look different once it's back until I get all the formatting reset. So, if you come by and it looks 90-11 kinds of crazy, don't worry about it. It will be back to normal by tomorrow (hopefully).

The board is back up...although Tapatalk is a bit dicey for a while, as well as formatting. I will be working on the *appearance* and Tapatalk throughout the next couple days, but core functionality seems to be good.

The new setup should look identical on Tapatalk. The desktop version will look very different (plain; default) until I build new CSS. For those on mobile but not using Tapatalk, however, it should be better. The new version is responsive for smaller resolution screens.

...and today? Working now? I couldn't use Tapatalk for a few minutes yesterday, but once I cleared the cache for the app it was fine. The board upgrade was actually pretty extensive. Normally, a minor update simply installs over the existing installation and updates appropriate files. This was a major change (7 years in the making, believe it or not). I had to back up the database and essentially delete the whole board, install new software, and tie the old database back to it. I believe it's all working properly. There just might be a few folks whose cache will have to reset before they're back.

I almost exclusively use tapatalk to access this forum as it is the best way to get pics on here.

So far I'm digging the update. It seems to be more lightly coded so it moves quicker. It's also responsive for all you guys browsing on mobile devices that don't want to use Tapatalk. There are a few new capabilities that I'll explore and see what it can do. As soon as all the mods (now called extensions) are updated to the new version we'll be rockin' and rolling.

While I'm being happy, I'll mention I couldn't be happier with the new host. With the old one, I got 6-10 emails PER DAY that our server had hung up and rebooted due to excess memory usage. So far, after 3 weeks I have a grand total of ZERO with the new host. We've never even approached our resource limits during show-time, and everything is working well best I can tell. I love it when a plan comes together.

Of course, this probably all means the whole thing's about to come apart at the seams....
