Re: Tapatalk...what of it?
Currently I can rely on Tapatalk. I don't love it. I prefer desktop. I'm not using a PC often enough to say that's my preference, though. I would be game for somethign else but don't have the knowledge to know what's available.

Re: Tapatalk...what of it?
I was an early adopter of TapaTalk...so early, in fact, that I bought the paid version before they discontinued it and made it free for everyone. I like its portability and all, but I have to admit I strongly prefer the desktop for forum browsing. It's just easier, and there are a few things that simply look better and are more user-friendly on a desk/laptop. I'd never drop TapaTalk, but I use the computer whenever I can.

I use TapaCrap almost exclusively for this and another 2 forums. I should get on the desktop site more, as you do miss some things here, but it really is convinient.

Not any trouble for me, either. In fact, it's very convenient. I just like the desktop UI better when given the option.IWinchester wrote:I'm 100% on Tapatalk. Hasn't been much trouble for me

Re: Tapatalk...what of it?
Tapatalk has given me a lot of grief lately - whenever I try to use it, it tells me "Tapatalk Sign On Service is currently unavailable." Just in case anyone else is having this problem, the forum software works great on mobile devices without an app. The site is responsive and fully functional. I've been defaulting to just opening the browser to the forum lately.

Friggin' app. Not sure why I keep using it. Turn s out Tapatalk "handles data differently" than some 3g/4g providers (Tapatalk support's words). I can only access through wifi at the moment because it's something my phone carrier does. This, despite it having worked for months. I'm betting they've hosed another update.....

Uh-huh. Just as I suspected. Anybody want to guess when the last Tapatalk update was on this forum?

Re: Tapatalk...what of it?
Upgrading and adding the SSL has hosed Tapatalk at the moment. I have a support request in, but it'll probably be Monday before they respond. Our profile on their site won't let me change the forum URL to https:// - so it can't find us until the powers that be can make that happen.

Re: Tapatalk...what of it?
Well, the de-escalated quickly. I realized the error being thrown wasn't their site specifically, but a Chrome problem. I tried making the change in a different browser and got it.
