IMPORTANT: Migration happenings

Hey guys...

While I was napping, I had an email come in from our hosting provider. They have officially begun the migration. One important reminder:

It could take anywhere from a few hours to 3 days for the full move. We should NOT have any downtime per se; however, any changes made to the existing site (i.e. forum posts) may not exist if they were recorded after the information has been copied to be placed on the new one.

Feel free to post away; just know that we may lose a day or so once the move is complete (or maybe not; depends on how the timing shakes out). I'll let y'all know when it's wrapped up.

I'm apparently not fit for this. I can update either Tapatalk or the forum just fine, but they're not synced. Grrrrrr.

...just a hillbilly, Tappin' and a-Talkin'

Hopefully, we're settling into the sway of a regular pendulum. For those who haven't been paying attention we went back and forth between the OLD database and NEW database for the forum several times throughout the day....with the added complication of Tapatalk. What this means is that we lost some posts, yet kept others that were posted after them. It's been a bit of a roller coaster, and I hope it's going to remain calm the rest of the way.

We did lose a new user, smokinsteve; if anyone knows him give him a jingle to have him come back........

I believe we're all back in the fold and everything is semi-stable now, no?

Do you guys know that you can create a system of backups that will loop until the entire available space is filled up? And that if that happens it's a big mess to go in and remove each one individually?

I do.
