Looks like we've found a (hopeful) fix for our resource shortage during chat/recording times. Our hosting provider had a big anniversary sale today and I got a year's worth of VPS rather than shared hosting. It ain't cheap but I love you guys. If anybody needs another site hosted, I might be able cut you a good deal on hosting space now to subsidize it .

PS - It's NOT likely to be fully implemented by this week's show. Best case we're in the new digs after 10/31/14.

Kip, perhaps we all need to buy in on a subscription of sorts. Divide the cost 20 ways, probably pretty reasonable. We know you are a tight budget. All I ask in return is to crash on your hammock in the DR should I find my way there. :€{

Well, did ya miss us? We suffered a couple hours' downtime earlier this evening (good thing we weren't recording). I'm still investigating with our host provider to find out exactly what happened, but I am going forward assuming it was part of the migration from one server/plan to another. I'll fill in any details I get so we all know when we're up and going full-throttle. Thanks for standing by...

Yes. I realize that for some of you there's a very annoying "Share bar" at left. I'm working on it. Should be gone before too long....maybe a day or two

I now have another heading in the banner at the top of the screen which contains "home, contact us..." etc. It's all the way at the right of "Forum" and says "fl". When you scroll over it a search option rolls down.

That's not new...but it is bothersome. It's been there this whole time, and I've been staring at it angrily every friggin' day.

I can't find anywhere in the code where that's coming from. If you notice, on all the blog pages, that's a magnifying glass (standard search icon). On the forum it's the fi (I believe it's actually "find," but the viewport is restricted to only show fi. I dunno...but the search continues.

Hoowahh! I got the commenting system all fixed up now. Because of a conflict between the spam controls on forum vs. those on WordPress, the site was blocking comments on the blog and forcing folks to use the forum exclusively. The forum bridge was only working one-way. I got that all ironed out this morning, so it should now be functioning 100% properly. Guests who post on the blog should have their comments show up here, and vice-versa.
