SRV day

Post by Kip » Tue Aug 27, 2019 10:03 am

29 years ago today, Stevie Ray Vaughan died. I remember the day very clearly. I wish there had been 29 more years of his music. At some point today, as every year, I'll be enjoying his tunes and toasting in his honor.

And, yet, here we sit with Yoko Ono still 'performing' at nearly 90 years old.

White shores, and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise....

I've been to Alpine Valley dozens of times and often wonder where this crash actually took place. What a shame for his art. I would have loved to see how he evolved and branched out. If Slash can become a Flamenco master, SRV could have brought classical back.
