Who/what company is, generally your favorite?

Granted, many companies share the actual same maker of their cigars, but who are your favorites?

Pepin is clearly the standout for me, but my "others" would include Torano and AJ Fernandez.

H. Upmann - Cuba by far.
My Father factory. They just put out so many great things for so many brands that I love.

No particular order:

My Father (although much of this is due to Tatuaje production)

Fuente (of course)

Casa Fernández (also, largely due to the things they make for others)

There are others that could be argued to belong on my list - legitimately. However, these 3 deserve it day after day, no matter the mood I'm in.

To narrow it down singularly, I have to choose Padron. There is not a cigar in their lineup that I do not like. I've given this thought, too. That being said, I couldn't NOT throw honorable mentions out to RoMa, Fuente, Tat, LTC and I'm sure one or two others I'm forgetting. The problem is, I've not had enough from RoMa to cast a general statement on them that they can be called "my favorite". Fuente makes the "King" and "Queen" sungrown stuff that has never sat well with me. Tat goes a little strong & muddled at times with some of their offshoot product in the past 6 or 7 years and LTC is amazing at a facet of the business. I've not seen well rounded success across the board like I have with their mild stuff.

This doesn't even take into account Cuban tobacco. I adore Cuban cigars. I couldnt' be happy if it didn't represent a certain subset of my cabinet. The fact is, I do not have one brand that I love more than another on the island. NC brands are allowed to have some breadth to their offerings. Cuban brands are ONE profile. I might love that profile but there are times I want something different. That being said, if I could choose 3 Cuban marks to represent a dream team, of sorts, I would probably lean that direction. Montecristo, Ramon Allones and Cohiba. You cannot beat the flavors available in those three cigars in terms of spectrum, depth and originality.

In summary, I voted for Padron while also thinking of others. I guess I'm in lust and not love :)
