Old Dogs Old Tricks

Post by 815DC » Thu Dec 01, 2016 1:49 am

Hey in the latest episode (Unbanded..ep 140/50sumtin) the guys mentioned Dogwatch with Craig stating that Bob took down cigarmedia. Fear not! There is still a way to listen to old episodes of the podcast that started them all-Dogwatch Cigar Radio

How you ask?... Recall that the show was also on iTunes my friends:

It doesn't play for me. I think it's because iTunes doesn't actually store the files - they just pull from an RSS feed and present them to the audience. So, when they were taken down they won't play any more. I tried thinking Bob may have left them housed somewhere else, but the episodes won't play for me.

Sad to say that this doesn't work for me, either.

well my bad then...

In my meager defense I wasn't doing much fact checking and that post was basically the final thing I did before crashing. At time of the post I had gone like 30+ hours without sleep. Huzzah for pulling swing shifts due to staff shortages. Woot Security!

There are however the last 30 or so episodes still on Bob's YouTube channel. Whenever they started using google hangouts/youtube for the show.. ep 380?

Sadly unless you know some1 who has them all and can put them on a big old thumbdrive I don't know how anyone new would experience the show.

Some of the funny videos about "car smoking" and "pool smoking" still exist

Oh man, too bad "shower smoking" is gone. Those quips were classic.

I always laughed at "shower beer" before I tried it. Now I unashamedly admit to the occasional shower beer a few times a year. I'm afraid if I tried the "shower cigar" it'd be the start of something I would come to regret...

I've contemplated the shower cigar on fishing trips a time or two. My biggest drawback is I'm afraid of ruining the wrapper. Ha!
