Re: Making a barber pole
After picking your two wrapper leaves, be sure to get the same side of each leaf, and they should be relative close in size (unless you want to throw away a lot of the bigger one). I've used paper here to more clearly show the positioning, with the leaf closest to the cigar needing to the bottom one, angling from the foot to the head.

Next, cut your leaves so the are of similar shape, whether straight or curved. If you can cut them at the same time, that will help, or cut one and then use it as a template for the other.

Next do some loose rolls to make sure you have the desired spacing between the leaves before really applying the wrappers.

Lastly, make sure the leaves, esp the bottom is very wet and laid smooth, as it will be very difficult to get to it with the other leaf on top. Then roll the wrapper as you would a single one, and then add which ever leaf you want as a cap.

Re: Making a barber pole
A quick video of our guide, Juan, at the TLJ factory demonstrating a barber pole wrap. Sorry for the sound, which is the generator they had going and then a rooster crowing (though it sounds more like an animal being tortured).
