Greetings, Forum mates. I am offering an experiment to you. I will send you 5 cigars, each with the same filler and binder (the blends to each person will vary, and I will list what is inside). The fillers will largely be on the mild side. One will be "naked" so you can learn that taste without a wrapper. The other four will then each have a different wrapper (probably Ecuador shade, Corojo, Habano 2000, and Ecuador maduro) so you can get an idea of the direct impact/influence each wrapper type has on that cigar.
I would ask that you each then give a report here on the forum/this thread detailing your findings. Of course, I can't make you do this, but I can also keep out of future experiments! Let me know if you have interest and then private message me your postal info. I have four different sets ready to go, but if demand and response are good, I may make some more. Let me know what you think!

So far, I have Craig, Kid C, Zed, and Kip (by default, but he has to wait until January - sorry!). Anyone else?

And... the balloting is closed for this session. Depending on how this goes, I may do it again in a few months or so, using different (mostly, at least) wrappers and blends. Cigar will go out to you fellas this coming week.

How about - to avoid unintentional bias from reading others' notes - everyone sends their thoughts to Michael directly and then he posts them all at once? That way, we don't allow someone else's thoughts to influence our own...
