The last (the twelve on the left) of four dozen cigars rolled this week using the two new plastic molds (7 x 52, and 5.5 x 43). Yearly total is now solidly over 600. Gonna take a few days off, assess what is in short supply in the humi,and perhaps, finish up a new blend series. Cigars be fun...

The plastic molds are one of few things I think are *improvements* in new methods of cigar rolling. They're far more durable (wood breaks and cracks easier) and last years longer, more accurate (can be wiped down to prevent buildup of oils that screw with ring size), and impart zero other flavors to the tobacco. I'm very much a fan of "the old ways", but I think plastic/polycarbonate is the way to go for cigar molds. Fuente had mostly switched over back at least as far as 2011.
