Hum, hum, hummus

Post by Stewmuse » Thu Mar 24, 2016 11:33 am

A (somewhat) spicy hummus. Chick peas, tahini (sesame paste), chipotle pepper in adobo sauce, a little jalapeno, roasted red pepper, garlic, onion, and some cilantro. Topped with paprika and olive oil. Chased by a red wine. Pretty simple, and super healthy and yum. Now, I just gotta remember to buy pitas or pita chips...

Love me some hummus....

White shores, and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise....

Let me rock your world. Toss a few red peppers in oil, salt, vinegar, greek seasoning, wrap in foil and broil for 15 minutes or so. Remove from foil, continue broiling until blackened. Remove skin & seeds, blend with chick peas & Tahini, season as necessary for your style Hummus. Unbelievable on tortilla chips or steamed pitas. Wow.

Yours does sound damn good, Mike. I love spicy but am the only at my house who does so I'd never be able to make it that way.

Dude. Don't you ever do anything just for yourself, any more? Or, just make two batches...

I thought that HA was for the goodness of humanity, not personal gratification.

Correct. Without it, I'd go postal. Humanity benefits indirectly.
