Yep. You can also change up what type of sausage you use. I've tried several and settled on mild Italian. In particular, I didn't care for regular breakfast sausage nor spicy Italian. Most others have been successful.
**As a post script to the instruction above concerning the saucing - don't do this much more than 30 minutes before removing it from the smoker. Otherwise, the sauce can char and leave some bitterness.**

Instead of sausage try hamburger and stuff it with cheese, peppers and onions. Slice and serve on a bun and you have an instant bacon cheeseburger.

Wait...you're telling me the bacon explosion can be tailored for breakfast, lunch AND dinner?!? Mu-ha-ha....
