Modem/Router Recommendation

We cut the chord with Comcast and now stream TV via the internet however we still use a Comcast Modem/Router and I’m interested in getting our own. What can you recommend for us to replace our rented modem/router with?

You are going to be "limited" to modems that Comcast allows since they sound like they are still your provider. If you search Amazon for Comcast compatible modem it will give several to choose from. I did one for about $50. I have used it for 2 years in combo with my Netgear Nighthawk router and had no issues.
This all being said, Google Fiber is being installed on the 15th of Feb... Long story why we did Comcast for 2 years when we moved.
