My background is in engineering and construction management, but now I’m a stay at home dad. I went from building some amazing buildings and facilities (and babysitting adults to accomplish these projects ) to raising my own kids and managing the House. It’s fun raising my kids but I still run the house like a business.

Re: What do y’all do?
I spent 25 years between Quality Assurance and Safety/Environmental work, with more than half closely tied to the furniture industry. The last 15 years of that time, I worked in a very diversified prison industry environment. The most recent 4 years, I've been a donor-supported missionary/general roustabout in the Dominican Republic.

Re: What do y’all do?
Fun coincidence! I was in Construction Management prior to landing where I am now. My professional journey has all been connected throughout its life. I started as an architectural Apprentice in 99 (though was a cartographer/photogrametric intern part time earlier and through some school). Practiced architecture until 2008 when I began not just designing but also building zero and low energy houses around Chicago. I did that, transitioning more towards the construction side, until 2016, when I specialized in energy efficiency and sustainable construction. I miss the creation but love that jobs are a week long and not a year (or more). "Efficiency" also has the benefit of knowing you didn't just *do* something, you did something the right way.Cabaiguan juan wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2019 10:59 pmMy background is in engineering and construction management, but now I’m a stay at home dad. I am a chemical engineer by degree and spent the first 10 years designing and project management for process units in refineries. Moved over to sales about 5 years ago and now lead our sales team.

It is my first part-winding split compressor. My glove is right above the electrical, for comparrison.
Normally I work on compressors I can lift, or that are only 350 lbs. This beast was a new one for me.
