Any fountain pen guys here? I became infatuated with them back in high school, and have had a few over the years. I wasn't really ever a "collector" as much as a utilitarian user. But I had one really - really - nice one, a custom made job that a friend made for me. Alas, it was stolen from my things when it came through Customs during our move down. I recently dug out an old one from high school (not nice...a $4 job I bought at the time), and have become re-energized with it. I used the last of my Christmas funds to order a couple decent pens to be brought down by my Mom when she visits in April.
Any of you gents fancy them?

Re: Fountain pens...
I used calligraphy pens for a short time when I still hand-copied (pre-computer age skills...) music, but found them to be (granted, I used pretty entry-level stuff) inconsistent. Or, perhaps, I just sucked at it. Who knows?Kip wrote:Any fountain pen guys here? I became infatuated with them back in high school, and have had a few over the years. Re: Fountain pens...
Being left handed, calligraphy pens are a friggin nightmare for me. The italic nibs on them "grab" the paper when pushed rather than pulled (there are techniques, but I'm not well versed). A regular nib, as on a writing pen, works just fine for me though (having a rounded end rather than the flattened stub). I can get much better results with them. The one I had my friend make wrote like a charm. Now if they just made a pen that improved penmanship I'd be set....

Yellow purple alpha, seventeen wallpaper vagina.
(FYI, this last sentence makes more sense to me than Kip & Mike's discussion.)

Plenty. Why do you ask questions to which you already know the answers?Kip wrote:What. The Hell.

I have no idea what that means. On a related note, I recommend not googling it. Trust me.kurtdesign1 wrote:Yellow purple alpha, seventeen wallpaper vagina.
