Another year, another rink.

Did the boards before I left for Cuba. Came back and it was -5 out, so I started flooding slowly. Now that it is -20's, I can get 2 heavy floods on in one day. I put the hose down on one side and then by the time I switch to the other side later, it is already frozen when the water meets in the middle-ish.

I may not be a fan of the cold weather but this is always one of the coolest things Zed!

My question is where you're getting yhour water. Are you using an exterior hose bib? do you disconnect immediately after and keep the water volume fast enough to avoid freezing in the hose?

The hose bib is an 18" unit. The shut off ( where the rubber seals ) is 18" inside the house where it won't freeze. Plus I run it all the way from the front garage down the side of the house. Sucks, but the one in the back is above the cold room, so it may freeze.

Another Boxing Day Classic.

My son and his friend. They may be 10, but they are the size of normal 12 and 13 year olds...

Always good to see the Hawks represented. Is that a Big Hoss Jersey or the Buffulo wizard?
