Nah... They had a tall guy living there for a short time who turned out to be a real jerk, so they cut down the door and put the board up so he would whang his head on it in the morning and when we walked around at night. :-)

And boy, has this thread been hijacked!

Waiting on you dude. Just got a new domino table. Bellon has the table, stand and set of dominoes for RD$1080 (about $23US). It ain't world class woodworking, but it'll do.

those built in ashtrays are where they saved their money. They don't even have bottoms! You better put a bucket under there!!

The world is my ashtray.

Well, at least that's what my wife says...

Hahaa! Perfect!! I was, actually, really hoping that we could get at least that far up the mountain to get to that store where more of these "beauties" could be picked up. Thanks!

That is the great hope. We went up Sunday and...made it. It wasn't easy; it took twice the normal time, some truly dangerous passages, and two car repairs on the fly in calf-deep mud. But, we made it. Unless it gets too crazy, we'll plan on a day or two up there. If it stays somewhat dry it shouldn't be too bad by then. We're going to try and do some more cement work (we're most of the way up the 2nd hill), as well as distribute some water filters. Of course, if the road completely falls off, we'll be staring at each other across a domino table all week....

I honestly don't know which option to be rooting for.
